Dale Harvey is an accomplished grand prix rider having represented Canada twice at the world cup finals-1992 in Del Mar, California and 1993 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
He owned and operated Maple Leaf Farms, a successful hunter/jumper training facility in Del Mar, California, from 1982 until 1999. Since then, he trained three students to World Cup competition in 2000 (two in their rookie year) as well as trained the PCHA Rookie of the Year for 1999 and 2000.
He is a sought after course designer and equine expert witness in addition to his talents as a trainer and horse show manager. Dale has been the technical coordinator for the hunter/jumper week of the Del Mar National Horse Show since 1997 and has managed the Del Mar International Horse Show since its inception in 2000.
Dale managed the US Equestrian Team Olympic Trials in 2000 in addition to the first three US Equestrian Team World Equestrian Games Selection Trials in 2002 and served as Chef D'Equipe for the West Coast Active Riders European Tour (1999, 2001 and 2003). Mr. Harvey also served as Executive Director and Vice President of West Coast Active Riders from 1999 till 2004. He was on the Board of Directors for Pacific Coast Horse Shows Association from 1993 to 1994 and again from 1997 to 1998.
