Norman Dello JoioNorman’s 1983 World Cup win is among his best known accomplishments in a long and on going international career. Norman and his wonderful partner, Glasgow, first set their American colleagues on notice in 1999 by winning the $100,000 Cosequin USGPL Invitational in Virginia, and they haven’t slowed down since then, here or in Europe. Norman’s qualifying season for the 2003 World Cup in Las Vegas, was highlighted by a win at CSI-W Oslo, and top finishes in Helsinki, Harrisburg, Pa, and Wellington, Fla. A USET veteran, Norman was first named to the U.S. Olympic Team in 1980, but didn’t compete because of the boycott. He later rode to individual bronze at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

The son of Pulitzer Prize and Emmy winning composer of the same name, Dello Joio is based at Wembley Farm in Florida in the winter and Coker Farm in Bedford, NY in the summer. Norman was married in 1985 and has a daughter, Danielle, and a son, Nicholas.
