Last year at Indio, on the winter circuit, Richard Spooner broke his leg when a young horse fell on him. The cast got in the way of Richard riding, so he took it off.

He tried a boot, but that didn’t work. He tried riding with only the stirrup strap, but that hurt. So Richard took both the stirrups off the saddle, and jumped clear in the $75,000 Grand Prix of Indio. Richard Spooner is a born winner in the Grand Prix arena. He goes fast, he cuts corners where no-one else dares, and he wins.

Seven years in a row, Richard Spooner has won the Pacific Coast Grand Prix Rider of the Year. Richard Spooner, this year already has won 5 Grand Prix events, including the coveted Las Vegas Grand Prix held during the World Cup in April 2003.
