Kurten is a two-time Olympian and a member of the 2001 European Championship gold medal-winning Irish team.  In 1999, she was the third Irishwoman to win the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Cup.  As a member of the Irish team in the 2000 Dublin Horse Show, she helped the Irish team to an unprecedented eight Nations Cup wins for the 1999-2000 season.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: 1994 ranked 10th as an individual in the World Championships with Diamond Exchange. Numerous wins in Grand Prix and World Cup including Millstead, Helsinki, Finland. 2001 Team European Champion in Arnhem, The Netherlands with Bonita. German Champion with five-year-old El Paso. Qualification for the inaugural 2005 Las Vegas World Invitational.
